SKIN
This series of photographs, Silent Story: Skin, captures the intimate textures and nuanced details of various areas of my body in extreme close-up. Each image showcases the complex landscape of lines, wrinkles, and pores, rendered in stark contrast by the monochrome palette. The subtle play of shadows and light emphasizes the graceful wear and tear accumulated over the years, evoking a deep sense of time and tenderness; a silent narrative of aging.
Intrigued by textures and patterns in Nature it was only natural that I started staring at skin with intrigue and awe. The similarities to trees and the soft underbelly of flowers and leaves underscored my belief that we are All One.
The images carry an emotional weight, invoking nostalgia, acceptance and reverence, reflecting the beauty and strength found in imperfection and my body’s response to the inevitable vulnerability of time passing.
